1CUP all-purpose flour
1CUP yellow cornmeal
1TBSP baking powder
1/2TSP salt
1CUP buttermilk or milk is fine
1/2CUP butter or margarine, melted
2 sliced roasted onions
1 garlic clove sliced in very thin slices

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a cast iron frying pan. Lay out the roasted onions and sliced raw garlic.
Combine flour, cornmeal, baking soda and salt. Mix til combined.
In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk/milk, butter, sugar and eggs. Pour mixture over dry ingredients and stir just until moist.

Scoop over onions and garlic. I used back of spoon to spread it all around

Place into oven and bake for 15-17 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack for about 15minutes.
