Dry ingredients: 2CUPS all purpose flour 3/4CUP cocoa powder 1TBSP baking powder 1/2TSP baking soda 1/2TSP sea salt 1 1/2CUPS sugar Wet ingredients: 2 large eggs 8TBSP coconut oil is what we used or butter/margarine, melted 1CUP almond milk is what I used, any milk works. 1TBSP vanilla extract Chocolate: 1CUP + chocolate chunks or chocolate chips. I used a Belgium Chocolate Snowman chopped up lol
Mix all the dry ingredients together, then add in the wet ingredients. Stir, mix until well incorporated.
Stir in your chocolate. Spray your muffin tin or line with muffin cups. I use my Cast Iron Oyster Pan and My cast Iron cornbread pan for this. Love cast iron!Bake 400F about 20minutes. Its a bit cold in Alberta today! Wanted to get a chowder going. Love homemade soups on a cold day! 2 carrots, diced 1 large onion, diced 3 celery stalks, diced 4-6 potatoes, diced Can of corn handful fresh parsley Salt/pepper Can of clams with juice 1/2LBS shrimp 6oz salmon cubed Can of fish or seafood stock 2TBSP butter 1TBSP Vegetable oil 2TBSP diced garlic 2TBSP flour 1/3CUP milk or cream
I like to use my Dutch Oven for Soup, Stews and Chowders. Get your pot on a med high heat. Add in your butter, oil, Onions, carrots, celery, garlic, salt & pepper. Stir cook for a few minutes. Then add in your potatoes, stir, cook couple more minutes.
Add in your fish stock, and enough water to cover veggies. Bring to a light boil and boil til vegetables are tender. I take the flour and mix it in the fish and shrimp Bowl. Add in all your seafood and parsley. Light boil for a bit longer. Til everything is all cooked.Add your milk/cream and corn just a few minutes before serving. Stir well. Add more salt pepper if needed!Seafood chowder always changes, as the seafood you use is never the same. Little homemade oyster crackers to go with our chowder today. Yummy. These are pretty awesome! I made 2 batches today. It’s a cold day in Alberta made a chowder, needed some crackers to go with it. Regular 1st batch: 1CUP all-purpose flour 1TSP sea salt salt 1TSP sugar 1TSP baking powder 2TBSP cold butter or margarine cubed 1/3CUP cold water 2nd batch: 1CUP all-purpose flour 1TSP garlic salt 1/2TSP thyme 1/2TSP parsley 1TSP sugar 1TSP baking powder 2TBSP cold butter or margarine cubed 1/3CUP cold water
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, then cut in the butter til mixture becomes crumbly. Then add in your water, mix til you get a dough, form a ball.
Get some extra flour for your work surface and a rolling pin. Roll out each dough about 2CM thick. You can just use knife and cut into squares of your size if you want. Or you can make different shapes with them.
I made some O’s, dots, bowties and suppose to be flowers lol.
For the regular batch I sprinkle them with sea salt before baking. Bake at 375F about 8minutes per side. Til nice golden brown.Everyone ever make homemade crackers at home? You should give it a try super easy.

Then add in remainder of ingredients 1 can of black beans drained 1 14.5 ounce can Stewed Tomatoes do not drain 1 15.25 ounce can Sweet Corn Whole Kernel drained 1 8 ounce can of Tomato Sauce 2 cups of shredded chicken 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning 2 cups of chicken broth salt and pepper to taste This soup is super simple, easy and fast to make. Light boil for about 20minutesTop with your favorite toppings. Crushed tortilla chips, cheese, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, avocado. This soup is filled with so much flavor, I hope you enjoy enjoy this as much as we do.
1 1/4 pounds ground pork 1/2 pound ground beef 1/4 pound ground rabbit (sub for ground veal) 1 cup grated peeled potatoes 1/2CUP grated onion 3-5 garlic cloves, minced 1 1/2TSP of salt 1/2TSP pepper 1/4TSP each dried savory & sage 1/8TSP ground cloves Cook all the above in the pan of your choice. Since I make such big batch, I use my turkey roaster to cook everything. homemade pie crust or store bought is fine When I make these pies, I do this recipe x4. These pies are excellent and I love to have them on hand in freezer when I’m looking for a quick meal. Once Cooked remove from heat and add in next 3 ingredients 1/4CUP water 1/4CUP bread crumbs 1 egg mix until well incorporated
Lay out your pie pans, roll our your dough. Place bottom dough down, add your meat mixture, top with another pie crust. Pinch doughs all around the edges sealing the pieI freeze unbaked. Bake thawed at 350F about 45-50 minutes. We eat a slice of this with potato and vegetables on the side. Hope your family enjoys these as much as we do.
