Then here comes our yummy fillings. I picked chocolate chips, coconut & crushed walnuts. Just a little bit on top mix that in too with wooden stick. Now this has to go in freezer and get frozen! Well that freezes you can work on your batter.
1 1/2CUPS all purpose flour 1TSP baking powder 1/4TSP baking soda 1/4TSP salt 3/4CUP water or more Combine 1CUP of flour, baking powder, soda & salt in a bowl. Gradually blend in water til smooth.Should be pretty thick. Little thicker then pancake mix.
I find the the bananas thaw fast so I only take a few out at a time. Take out of silicone. With remainder of flour give them all a roll through flour, lightly shake off excess flour, dunk in batter. I use a fork for this, to remove from batter and place in 375F oil deep fry 3-5 minutes. Flipping til sides are all golden brown. Lay out on paper towel to remove excess oil.
You could roll these in a cinnamon sugar, or sprinkle them with icing sugar or have ice cream with them. We like them just how they are!
Had some batter left so did some whole baby bananas, rolled these in some cinnamon/sugar after fried. Let us know what you think.
We bought this silicone pan second hand. I love it. We use it for a variety of things. You can find it here
2CUPS half & Half milk (use cream if you like a rich sauce) 2CUPS parmesan cheese 2-3sliced boneless skinless chicken breasts (can’t use thighs if you prefer) 1TBSP each oil & butter Salt, pepper, crushed Chilis and pinch of nutmeg 2TBSP flour Garlic 2-6 cloves (we used 6) 3CUPS steamed Broccoli Spaghetti noodles
Take the oil, butter, and chicken in a hot pan. Pan fry couple minutes then add in the garlic, cook til chickens done. Then I add in my steamed broccoli, then flour. Mix well, cook a couple minutes.
Add in your milk/cream and cheese. Stirring frequently til it’s nicely thickened.
My family loves this dish!
Add your cooked, drained pasta to a big bowl, add in your alfredo sauce, mix, serve immediately. I was out of Fettuccine, spaghetti to the rescue! Tasted just as good.Love our daily Lodge user!
2CUPS white beans soaked 1 onion diced 2 carrots diced 2 celery stalks diced 2-5cloves garlic minced (we used 5) 3 CUPS Chicken stock/bouillon 3CUPS water 2TBSP Italian spice 1TBSP parsley Couple bay leaves Salt/pepper 1 Ham hockThrow everything in a Dutch oven and or large pot. Bring up to a boil and light boil for an hour. Adding more water if needed.
Remove the ham hock, I give it a rinse under cold water to cool it down quicker. Separate all the meat from the bone and chop up roughly.
Put all your ham hock back in, stir, remove bay leaves and serve. We don’t eat enough beans in this house, it was enjoyed by everyone. I love making homemade soups!I have the PC Choice brand but this is about the same.
2CUPS left over sticky rice 1 onion diced (green or a white one) 1TBSP minced garlic 1 egg beaten 1/2CUP cheese (I used extra old white, if you like a milder cheese use a mozza) 1/4TSP garlic powder, onion powder, parsley & crushed Chilis Thai chilis (optional as always)
Throw everything in a bowl and mix well. I like to the then stick bowl in fridge for a couple hours.
I love these epicure silicone mold! We bought it for 10cents at a yard sale! I’ve made a ton of different things in it. If you don’t have this, use another silicone mold. A mini muffin tin works too. Fill with rice. Giving pressure making sure they are getting filled right up. I cover with plastic wrap tightly and then apply more pressure to rice. I put this in the freezer for an hour!
They will pop right out of your silicone mold or muffin tin. If using a muffin tin you may need to use a butter knife to help slide out but they still should come out easy once frozen. I get 2 bowls ready. One with some milk, could use egg, I prefer milk for this one. And 1 bowl with crushed salted soda crackers, could use panko if you prefer. Dunk in milk, then turn them all around in crushed crackers. I do a few like this then deep fry at 375F for about 3-6 minutes. Turning them quite frequently.
They are some enjoyed in our house! They freeze well and I reheat them in oven. We can’t wait to hear what you think.

2-3TBSP butter/margarine 3TBSP chopped fresh cilantro 3-5 garlic cloves, minced 1 inch ginger minced 2TBSP piri-piri sauce/spice or other hot pepper sauce 2TBSP fresh lemon juice, bottled is fine 1 large onion sliced 1/2CUP water Whole chicken cut in half or in pieces Salt/pepper When we buy our chicken in bulk we like to freeze a bunch in there sauces we will make with them. I add all of the above to a freezer bag minus the butter, mix well. And freeze til I need.I thaw, add the bag with all its contents along with the butter and slow cook at 300F about 4 hours. I baste the chicken about every 45minutes. If using a whole chicken when it starts to darken up, I cut the pieces all apart so they will get a nice color everywhere.
This dish is loved in our house! Our pan is just the same!
