I mixed up about 6 tablespoons of softened butter, handful of herbs (parsley, garlic, crushed chilis, & chives), & cheese (I used mozza & Parm) mixed it all up. I dropped chunks on-top of the prawns.Baked under the broiler til cooked & browned. I serve with baguettes.
I like doing stirfrys. They cook up so fast and well they just taste just great! Were very lucky to not have fussy kids. My kids will eat everything! And they love stirfrys too.We normally always serve over rice but once in a while I do do noodles with them. How do you do your stirfrys? What do you like in them?
Sometimes, I like things simple. I just love raspberries and brie. And although I do prefer it with puff pastry. This really is just as good! My mother gave me this non stick copper pan before I left for Alberta. She had it for about 20 years and I’ve had it for 15. Still an awesome pan!Brie with the top cut off, topped with fresh raspberries. Baked til melted. Serve with some baguettes.
We grew up in Moncton New Brunswick. We grew up eating Shepard’s Pie. Ground beef, corn, mashed. It was a staple. I only learned about this recipe when I moved to Alberta. We much prefer this. It’s pretty simple and easy to prepare. 4CUPS garlic cheesey mashed potatoes 1 ½ lbs ground beef 1 onion, diced 2CUPS frozen peas & carrots 2 garlic cloves, minced 2TBSP unbleached all purpose flour 1TBSP tomato paste 1 c beef stock 2TSP Worcestershire 1TSP thyme sprigs 1/2TSP salt or to tastePreheat oven to 400F. Cook your beef over medium heat until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet. Add the vegetables and garlic to the beef juices in the pan. Cook until soft, 7-10 min. Add the tomato paste and flour. Stir until the flour is completely moistened. Return the cooked beef to pan. Add the stock, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Simmer until the gravy thickens. Transfer the meat mixture into a cast iron pan. Spoon the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture. Place the dish in the oven at 400F and cook for 20-30 min or until the top is golden. Let stand 5-10 min before serving. We really enjoy it! We are a meat and potato kinda family :0)
