I make baked beans all the time! I’ve tried a lot of different recipes. For some reason I always go back to this one. We love it.
This recipe was on the box of my bean Crock I bought 17 years ago and I still have it.

We got a slightly different taste this time cause we cooked them over the fire. They were incredible!
1LBSb yellow and white dry beans
1/2LBS salted pork
1/2CUP molasses
2 onions
4 cups cold water
1TSP each of salt & dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Soak beans overnight in water. Rinse.
Throw the beans in your cauldron along with everything else. Make sure beans are covered with water. Cover. They take 7-8 hours in the oven. However over the open fire they are done within 2 hours.
Cook uncovered for the last little bit.
