We don’t normally buy these bottled sauces, but hey, it had a clearance sticker. We wanted to try it out. My homemade sauce is definitely better but for a no name sauce, it was actually quite delicious. 1 bottle pad Thai sauce 1 package of rice stick noodles, we like the thick ones for this recipe. Steak, we used a tbone Feel free to use any cut of beef you like. Can always substitute steak for chicken, pork, fish or just veggies works and tastes great too. Half white onion, sliced thinly 1/4 red onion, sliced thinly 4-6 green onions Bunch garlic chopped Thai Chilis chopped 1 jalapeno sliced thinly 1 carrot julienned 1 lime Bunch of cilantro 1/2CUP diced peanuts Vegetable oil or olive oil worksWe like to prep all the ingredients, chop everything, get everything ready for the meal.
Cook up your tbone in a hot skillet with oil of your choice to desired downess, just get a nice color on both sides. Remove from pan. Now chop steak all up and set aside. Once the bone cools down, Lucky will get one of his favorite treats.
This is going to cook up super fast. So it’s good to have everything prepped like we have above. Get your pan nice and hot with what oil you are using. Add in your white & red onions. Then the garlic and thai Chilis. Stir about 2 minutes on a medium heat. Then we added carrots and sliced jalapenos. Cook for another 2 minutes. Then pour in your bottled sauce, chopped steak, cilantro and green onions. Stir well to combine.
Boil up your noodles as per your instructions say on the package. Once noodles is cooked , drain well, then we like to rinse the noodles under the cold water. But it’s not necessary. Pour noodles over sauce and mix well. Coating all noodles.
Lucky finally getting his Tbone, looks more like an Ibone to me hehehe
Pour into a big plate, squeeze a bunch of lime on, top with crushed nuts and a few fresh jalapenos and dig in, cause there isn’t going to be any left soon.
