I had a flank steak in freezer I wanted to use up. I wanted to do something different. You don’t normally slow cook a flank but we did. First we pan fried in some oil got a nice color on both sides of flank. Added cut onions, celery, mushrooms, garlic, salt & pepper. Along with Vegetable oil. Fried for a few minutes, stirring frequently. Cover with beef broth and light boil for a few hours. Last hour add cut carrots, cut potatoes.
Take flank out, shred with fork. I use two forks to do this. Pulling the meat apart. Side aside. I bring this up to a boil and I thickening it with a flour/water mixture. Then add back your meat and I put in a can of corn in.We love Yorkshire pudding. I love to make Yorkshire pudding. I always make some with my roast beef. Use your best recipe. Do you like Yorkshire pudding? What kinda pan do you use?Decided to make some with this dish.
Serve over Yorkshire pudding, squirt some horseradish sauce on-top. We loved it!
We love beef ribs. There expensive, I don’t buy them often. Pan fry with Vegetable oil til nicely browned on both sides. Add thinly sliced onion, garlic, & 1CUP of beef stock, water, & soya. Cover light boil for couple hours.Last 20minutes add in some julienned carrots & cut broccoli. Sprinkle with sesame seeds when done.Serve over Mash potatoes
I just love my cast iron skewers, super cool! Spicy onion pepper short ribs cut, onions cut, peppers cut in squares, & mushrooms whole. All threw in a bowl with my garlic chili sauce added. Mixed well.
