Cinnamon Toast Leave a Comment / Every Day Recipes / By Amanda and Tim / January 2, 2020 February 10, 20203 large eggs1/3CUP milk Beat welladd on 1/2TSP vanilla and 1TBSP cinnamon. We like our cinnamon. You can use less or more whatever you prefer. We would rather use thick slices of homemade french bread. But thick Texas loaves work just fine. Or regular bread. Thick slices do work/taste best we find.I normally even have to add more cinnamon to the egg mixture half way threw, as we like them loaded with cinnamon.Dip your breads in the egg mixture on both sides and transfer to hot oiled pan.I use my Nordicware ware indoor nonstick grill pan as I can do a few at once. Little non stick spray med-high heat. Couple minutes per side. And there done. Serve with syrup, or whipped cream, to peanut butter to mixed fruit to a jam. We like a ton of different stuff on them. You don’t just have to do a syrup all the time. We love this!
Garlic Chili sauce Leave a Comment / Every Day Recipes / By Amanda and Tim / January 2, 2020 January 2, 2020I can’t really give a recipe for this. Cause I’ve never used one. I go by taste. But the main ingredients I use are. Lots of green & red Chilis, big chunk of ginger, lots of garlic, & lots of green onions small.Cup soyaTBSP sesame oil1/2CUPSugar1/3CUP Rice vinegar ( this changes for me. I like to use sherry, or red or white wine vinegar also whatever I happen to have on hand)Chop everything up nicely. I put sesame seeds in this batch but I don’t normally do that. I usually just add some to recipe when cooking. You really can’t go wrong with ingredients. You will get to a great flavour with all this freshness. You’ll know if you need more sugar and or garlic or heat. This last for a couple weeks in our fridge and I use 2-3TBSP for recipes either to cook with, marinate, or its excellent just as is, as a dipping sauceI squeeze almost a whole lime in. If I don’t have lime, I use lemon. This sauce is a big hit in our family everyone loves it.
