Preheat oven to 425F. Put dough onto flour surface and roll out. You can roll out to an inch thick and use cookie cutter or glass to cut out biscuits.
I roll these ones out thinner to about 1/2inch thick and double them up ontop of each other in the pan. When cooked makes them easier to pull apart to smoother butter on.Bake roughly 12 minutes, depending on your oven. These are also excellent with some peanut butter. Let us know what you think. I know we love them in our family!! I doubled this recipe when I made these yesterday.
These are so much fun and much enjoyed in our family. Kids get excited when we make them. Who doesn’t want a Poptart once in a while?! 2CUPS pie dough 1CUP strawberry jam 1/2CUP blended or mashed strawberries 1beat egg for egg wash 1/2CUP icing sugar Roughly 1/2TSP milk Sprinkles, optional Roll out your pie dough on a well floured work area. To about a quarter inch thick. We use one of my cookie cutters from my gingerbread house. A knife or pizza cutter works just fine to cut rectangles if you don’t have cutter. Mix your jam and mashed strawberries together.Preheat oven at 400F. Depending on how big your rectangles are we put a good 1-2TBSP of filling on. We put a tad of egg wash around edges, put another rectangular pie dough ontop and pinch edges all around with a fork.
Place them all on a cookie sheet with either a non stick sheet or parchment works good too. Brush all with an egg wash, we use a toothpick and put 2-3 holes threw the tops of dough. So steam can release when cooking. Also helps them from not busting open when cooking. Bake 400F about 25 minutes til starting to get a golden color.Mix your icing sugar and milk in a bowl. Until you get a nice thicker icing. You can use a piping bag, we just use a ziplock sandwich bag and cut the corner out. Works great.
We pipe a few then sprinkle the sprinkles, then continue over and over until done. Please let us know what you think.
This pizza dough is so simple and tastes excellent. 1CUP warm water 1TSP each sugar, salt & yeast 2CUPS flour Mix your warm water, sugar & yeast and set aside for yeast to get all bubbly.Add your yeast mixture to your flour and salt. And bring together with spatula or wooden spoon.Knead for 1 or two minutes til it forms a nice soft ball. Oil ball and bowl.Cover and let rise til double or triple in size. This makes two thin crust 10/12 inch pizzas or 1 thick crust 10/12inch pizza. Hope you enjoy this pizza dough as much as our family does. It freezes well also.
These are great! Our family loves them. Cut vegetables of your choice, we like to use Broccoli, Carrots, Onions, Mushrooms, Zucchini and Sweet Potatoes 2CUPS flour 400ml ice water 2eggs 1/2 cornstarch 1/2TSP salt
Mix flour, ice water & eggs in a bowl til combined. Put in fridge til oil is ready. Mix cornstarch and salt in another bowl and set aside. I say we deep fried about 8CUPS of Vegetable with this mix.Take all your veggies and give them a toss in the cornstarch mixture. Dust off excess cornstarch. Get your oil to 350F.
Throw a bunch of vegetables in the batter and I use a fork to mix them all around very well til they are all coated. I also use a fork to transfer them to the oil. I deep fry the same vegetables at same time.
I like to lay out on cooling racks with paper towel under them. Let’s all the excess oil soak down into the paper.
These can be reheated well and are still great. In a 425F for about 15minutes. Do you make tempura at home?
This was super fun. The texture and taste were great. We love them. 2 plus eggs Couple pinches of salt I used 1/2CUP grated cheese (your choice) for 4 eggs Sprinkle of Pepper optional
Preheat Oven to 450F. You want to separate the eggs. Be very careful not to break the yolks and make sure no yolk goes in the whites or it doesn’t beat together properly. Beat the egg whites til stiff peaks, add a couple pinches of salt and fold in the cheese with a spatula or spoon.Get your baking pan ready lined with parchment or a non stick sheet. Non stick spray works fine too. Separate all the eggs white into big blobs on your pan depending on how many eggs you use, you’ll have that many blobs. I like to use a spatula for this. Then use spatula to make wells in the center of egg whites.Bake 450F roughly 3 minutes. Then take out and carefully slide in each yolk in the centre well. If putting some, you can sprinkle the pepper on now. Bake another 3 minutes.
These are excellent! I hope your family enjoys them as much as we do!
