These are pretty awesome! I made 2 batches today. It’s a cold day in Alberta made a chowder, needed some crackers to go with it. Regular 1st batch: 1CUP all-purpose flour 1TSP sea salt salt 1TSP sugar 1TSP baking powder 2TBSP cold butter or margarine cubed 1/3CUP cold water 2nd batch: 1CUP all-purpose flour 1TSP garlic salt 1/2TSP thyme 1/2TSP parsley 1TSP sugar 1TSP baking powder 2TBSP cold butter or margarine cubed 1/3CUP cold water
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, then cut in the butter til mixture becomes crumbly. Then add in your water, mix til you get a dough, form a ball.
Get some extra flour for your work surface and a rolling pin. Roll out each dough about 2CM thick. You can just use knife and cut into squares of your size if you want. Or you can make different shapes with them.
I made some O’s, dots, bowties and suppose to be flowers lol.
For the regular batch I sprinkle them with sea salt before baking. Bake at 375F about 8minutes per side. Til nice golden brown.Everyone ever make homemade crackers at home? You should give it a try super easy.
My kids love them! Why not try them all at once lol. The crackers are great just on their own we well.
