Pizza Dough rolled out to a square as good as you can. These are pizzas so really anything goes on here. Use ingredients you like. We skipped out on pizza sauce today as we wanted to use lots of fresh tomatoes with herbs instead. My family loves pizza rolls, great for school lunches also. I places sliced tomatoes out diced mushrooms black sliced olives sprinkled garlic powder, Italian spice, crushed chilis I laid out a bunch green onions, kept long cause were going to cut into rolls anyway cut salamiTop with cheese or your choice. We used a grated marble today.
Roll up, and cut into about 1inch discs. I spray a glass casserole dish or a couple cast iron pans. Place rolls in. I top with some more marble and parmesan. Cover and let rise for 30-40minutesBake 425F for about 25minutes. I hope you enjoy these as much as our family does.
Do you make Burritos at home? How does your family enjoy them? These are breakfast ones, but of course can be eaten at any time. Just cooking for me this am. I ate one and saved the other for Tim! I used: 2 eggs 3 small maple breakfast sausages Cheese Jalapenos & Chili’s Green onions Salsa, sour cream & cheese Salt, pepper 2 tortilla wrapsBeat eggs Cut green onions Cut jalapenos & Chili’s Sausage out of the casing Cut and or grated cheese Salt pepper This can be changed up so much! Try bacon and or ham instead of sausage. Even fish with this is good. You don’t like jalapenos or Chili’s ? That’s totally fine. Use what you like. Green peppers, tomatoes. Like white onion? Use white onion. Anything goes! Can make complete vegetable & egg burritos as well
Fry up the sausage til browned, add some green onions, the Chili’s, jalapenos, salt & pepper. Fry for a few minutes. Pour beat eggs over sausage mixture. Scrambling it all up til cooked.
I like to make portions in the pan with how many burritos I’m making. Top with some cheese (your choice) and green onions. Cover. Should just need a minute to melt the cheese.
I wrap these in my homemade tortillas along with same salsa and sour cream. Wrap it tightly and cut in half. My kids love these! And so does Lucky!
I used pork in this, you can have it straight veggies/egg, or other meats and or seafood. Beat 2 eggs. This is a thinly sliced pork chop. About 20 pieces in here. I used my homemade garlic chili sauce. You can add in any sauce you like. About 2TBSP. All put in a soup bowl.
Pick your vegetables. We used 1 thinly sliced mushroom & some thinly sliced broccoli stems. Do you eat the broccoli stems or discard them? You can literally use like any veg. you want.
Pour the beat eggs on, and top with cut green onions. Steam in steamer for about 20-30minutes
We love sticky rice, it’s a tad bit expensive but worth it! Take your steamed sticky rice. I like to use a molding plate / dish to mold my rice in the shape I want. I just spray some non stick spray on and put rice in. Giving pressure on rice so it’s nice and firm. Once formed flip out onto serving plate.I take the egg bowl running a butter knife along the top of egg and bowl so it releases nicely when tipped upside down.Sauce should pour down over rice. Top with more green onions if you wish. Chilis as always, are optional. This can be changed up so much with different sauces, veggies & meat or seafoods. Simple. Fast. Delicious meal. Hubby and I like to share! It’s so cold in Alberta, it was enjoyed.Love these steamers
Fry in frying pan. About 2CUPS sliced mushrooms 1 large sliced onion Fresh thyme or dried We like lots of garlic. I always put lots in everything. If you just want to use a clove go ahead. I use about 5-6 cloves cut up. Salt pepper Along with some Vegetable or olive oil
Fry up til nice and tender. I then pour in 1/2CUP red wine to pick up the bits on the bottom, stir til everything is released from bottom. Were in the process of moving and I can’t find a wine opener, so I put a screw threw the cork LOL, hey it worked haha. Remove from pan, set aside.
You can just use salt/pepper on your chops. I used a montreal chicken spice on them. Pan fry til browned on both sides. They don’t have to be fully cooked and can finish off in gravy. Remove from pan, set aside.
Add back to pan your onions & mushroom mixture. I put 1/3CUP flour in. Mix well, cook couple minutes. Then I had about 1 1/2CUPS of beef stock (or water and bouillon) bring up to a boil, stirring, til it’s nicely thickened. Then I add in the 1/2CUP caramelized onions (optional but highly recommend). And pork chops back to finish off on a light boil. You can keep chops whole. I prefer to cut them up and add them back to the gravy. Serve with some mashed and a side of greens!
This was super fun and loved in our house! We love sticky rice. We eat a lot of sticky rice. If you like sticky rice, you’ll love this dish! Sticky rice should be well rinsed and I like to sit it in water on the counter for a couple of hours. I used 2CUPS rice. Banana leaves (used these so my bamboo steamer stays clean and holds the food together-you should be able to purchase these cheap at your local Asian store) lay out a couple of layers down. I used 2 steamer trays.Average 4 pieces of carrots per person 1bokchoy each 1/2 a mushroom each thinly sliced 2 shrimps each 2chicken dumplings each 4-5thinly sliced pork each person Sliced green onions Beat eggs You can put whatever meat, fish and or vegetable you prefer in. This is the stuff we like. I used a few TBSP of my homemade garlic chili sauce with a couple TBSP of oyster sauce to marinate pork and shrimp.
Once all the meat, seafood and Vegetables are down use a brush and brush remaining of sauce over everything.
Top with about 1CUP of rice in each steamer, spreading it around evenly. Giving a little pressure on the rice to compact everything down. I like to leave a hole in centre and pour the beat eggs (2) over top of the green onions. I then pour about 1 cup of water over rice mixture on both trays. Top with another banana leaf. Put steamer top on and steam for about 45minutes to an hour on a medium heat. Every 10 minutes, I swap the steamer trays so they would all have turns on top and bottom. About 25minutes in, I pour more water in each tray.45minutes to an hour later it should be done. Keep steamer closed for 10minutes and let rest.
I’m just gonna sit right here he Saids. See, see mom I’m sitting pretty. Hehehe Get a plate that is big enough to cover steamer trays, remove top banana leaf piece. Lay plate down, and flip. It should slide right out! Peel away bottom layer of banana leave. Look at that?!
Does your family eat sushi rice?We use this steamer!
