3CUPS bean sprouts 1 carrot julienned 2celery stalks julienned 1 white onion julienned Garlic Ginger Chili’s (always optional!) If you opt out you should use white pepper. Black pepper is fine. Soya sauce SugarCut all your veggies up
I use a little vegetable oil with sesame oil, pan fry up the carrots, onions, celery, garlic, ginger, chilis, soya sauce and TSP sugar. If I’m not using chilis. I use white pepper. Pan fry high heat just couple minutes. Then add bean sprouts. Another TSP of soya sauce. Cook couple more minutes. We love food full of colors! We sprinkled with sesame seeds but it’s not needed.I added a couple shrimps in with this to have for lunch :0).
These are a little bit of work, rolling all out but they cook fast. You’ll never go back to store bought again! This is a basic 5 ingredient flour tortilla recipe. 3CUPS all-purpose flour 1TSP salt 1TSP baking powder 1/3CUP vegetable oil, shortening, or lard 1CUP hot water In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt & baking powder. Then add vegetable oil. Stir until the mixture is coarse crumbs. Pour in warm water and stir to combine. Knead with well-floured hands until the mixture comes together into a dough.
Transfer dough to a well floured work area. Divide into 16 roughly portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten slightly with the palm of your hand. Cover flattened balls of dough with a clean kitchen towel, allow to rest for at least 15 minutes and up to an hour.
When ready to cook, warm your pan. I use my Nordicware nonstick grill or a cast iron frying pan. Roll each dough ball into a circle about 6”. Try not to stack the rolled out tortillas on top of one but with a little extra flour in there it’s ok. Transfer tortillas one at a time into the hot skillet. Cook for about 1 minute, until small bubbles form on the top and brown spots form on the bottom surface. If it takes much longer than a minute to see golden brown spots on the underside, increase the heat slightly. Flip and cook the other side for about 30 seconds. Remove from the pan and stack cooked tortillas loosely wrapped in a clean kitchen towel. This will keep them soft. It may take a couple to get your pan to the temperature you want. If they become hard and not pliable, unfortunately you have cooked them too long. These are awesome, they are so many uses. They freeze well.
1 1/2CUPS all-purpose flour 1TSP baking powder 1TSP baking soda 1 1/4CUPS mashed ripe bananas (3-4 bananas) 1/2CUP milk 1/2CUP butter, softened or margarine 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1TSP vanilla extract I used all of the above X3 to make all the pans. Plus 1 1/2- 2CUPS of mixed frozen berries 3/4CUP chocolate chipsMix flour, baking soda & baking powder in bowl. Set aside. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in another bowl, set aside. Mash bananas and milk in a third bowl.
Add the creamed butter sugar mixture to banana bowl. Stir til combined well. Then pour in you flour bowl. Mix to combined.I divide mix in 2 bowls, pour the mixed berries in one bowl and 3/4CUP chocolate chips in the other bowl. Gentle stir til mixed.
Pour in your desired pan. If using bread pans they take almost 1 hour at 350F. If you use shallower cast iron pans they take about 20-30minutes at 350F. We like to top some with Nutella to give some nutty flavour to them. Heat couple TBSP up in microwave, pour Nutella over top of bread on different spots. I then use a kebab stick and swirl around the Nutella. I did a couple of pans with half batter in each.
I just love my mini’s !We like to have these in the freezer and pull out when we want some.Love love this pan!
This cornbread pan is awesome! We use it for a variety of things.
This is a cute little pan. I use it a lot.
I used pork in this, you can have it straight veggies/egg, or other meats and or seafood. Beat 2 eggs. This is a thinly sliced pork chop. About 20 pieces in here. I used my homemade garlic chili sauce. You can add in any sauce you like. About 2TBSP. All put in a soup bowl.
Pick your vegetables. We used 1 thinly sliced mushroom & some thinly sliced broccoli stems. Do you eat the broccoli stems or discard them? You can literally use like any veg. you want.
Pour the beat eggs on, and top with cut green onions. Steam in steamer for about 20-30minutes
We love sticky rice, it’s a tad bit expensive but worth it! Take your steamed sticky rice. I like to use a molding plate / dish to mold my rice in the shape I want. I just spray some non stick spray on and put rice in. Giving pressure on rice so it’s nice and firm. Once formed flip out onto serving plate.I take the egg bowl running a butter knife along the top of egg and bowl so it releases nicely when tipped upside down.Sauce should pour down over rice. Top with more green onions if you wish. Chilis as always, are optional. This can be changed up so much with different sauces, veggies & meat or seafoods. Simple. Fast. Delicious meal. Hubby and I like to share! It’s so cold in Alberta, it was enjoyed.Love these steamers
