Top with about 1CUP of rice in each steamer, spreading it around evenly. Giving a little pressure on the rice to compact everything down. I like to leave a hole in centre and pour the beat eggs (2) over top of the green onions. I then pour about 1 cup of water over rice mixture on both trays. Top with another banana leaf. Put steamer top on and steam for about 45minutes to an hour on a medium heat. Every 10 minutes, I swap the steamer trays so they would all have turns on top and bottom. About 25minutes in, I pour more water in each tray.45minutes to an hour later it should be done. Keep steamer closed for 10minutes and let rest.
I’m just gonna sit right here he Saids. See, see mom I’m sitting pretty. Hehehe Get a plate that is big enough to cover steamer trays, remove top banana leaf piece. Lay plate down, and flip. It should slide right out! Peel away bottom layer of banana leave. Look at that?!
Does your family eat sushi rice?We use this steamer!
This stuff is excellent on so many levels! Can be used for a variety of things. One of my favorites, is for my hair! It’s dry in Alberta, I find it provides the best hydration. Excellent for the scalp, dry skin and gives an awesome shine!Lucky would be so happy LOL In Alberta we have a lot of international markets, grocery stores. We prefer these over the big name stores, excellent deals and good selection! Best of all, can’t beat the prices!Use a sharp knife. I like to use a cleaver. Cut the spikeys off down each side, then give pressure on top and run knife along bottom and top of Aloe.I use my mortal and pestle, you can food process this too. It’s watery, chunky, slimy, & fresh! Now lather that all into your lightly wet hair, & massage into scalp. Leave for an hour. Wash out
