4CUPS all purpose flour 1CUP white sugar 1TSP baking soda 1TSP baking powder 1TSP salt 3/4CUP oil 1TBSP vanilla 4 eggs 1(8-oz.) canned sliced pineapple in juice, un-drained (save some for top- optional) 1 jar maraschino cherries, cut in halves, well drained ( save some juice & couple whole ones for top- optional) 1/2CUP milk
Heat oven to 325°F. Spray two loaf pans or I used one large one. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt, mix. Add oil, vanilla, eggs (I have pictured 3 eggs but I used 4), milk and pineapple with liquid, mix until combined. Fold in cherries.Spoon into greased pan. Bake at 325°F. for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
This is optional but I would recommend! 3/4-1CUP icing sugar and some of that maraschino cherry juice. Mixed together. You can make a thicker icing. I prefer it a little runny so I can drizzle over top.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove from pans, place on wire racks. Cool for an hour.
You can put some pineapples & cherries on top. I do it cause it makes it look prettier. Then drizzle icing over everything. This is optional. The loaf is just fine without the icing as well. This loaf is loved in our family. Excellent to have with a tea or coffee.
Simple, good for your health and tastes awesome! Califlower I like to keep stems on and I like to keep whole but cut in half. Some like them cut in thinner discs and some prefer it all cut up in pieces. Do whatever is easier for you and what you prefer.Salt, pepper Couple tablespoons of parmesan TSP of thyme 3-4 cut garlic cloves, we love garlic. We put a lot of garlic in everything. If you only want 1-2 cloves. That’s fine Mix 2TBSP of olive oil or Vegetable oil with all the above in a bowlNow baste the crap out of that Cauliflower hehehe. Getting in all the nooks and crannies.
Bake 350 about 30-35minutes. Should be pretty tender, nice color with wonderful flavourful. Hope your family enjoys this as much as we do.I served this with pulled pork burgers
This dish is a big hit in our house! Sauce: 1CUP ketchup 1/4CUP brown sugar 3TBSP cider vinegar 2TBSP molasses 1TBSP Dijon mustard 2TSP sweet chili sauce Mix sauce in bowl all together.
4 1/4 pounds boneless pork shoulder, trimmed 1 onion, chopped salt and ground pepper
I like to layer my onions on the bottom of my pork roast in my pan or crock pot. Place meat over onions. Pour sauce over.
Cook covered 350 about 5-6hours. Turning, and giving a stir half way through.
Remove roast and take two forks and start pulling the pork apart separating all fat away. Discard fat. Mix pulled pork back in with onions/sauce mix. Lucky making sure he’s close by, I see those ears lol
Now you don’t have to but I find its makes a big difference to toast the buns! I dont get all fancy with butter and a pan. Just throw them in toaster, it’s all they need! I hope you enjoy them as much as we do
I use this Dutch oven for a variety of things.
Sweet potatoes 2-3 1 turnip White potatoes 1-2 Wash, peel and use your mandolin to cut everything up. Then throw all in a bowl together.1/4TSP each of salt, pepper 1TSP each of parsley, thyme, rosemary, & garlic powder. 2TBSP of olive oil or vegetable oil. Mix everything really well. The potatoes/turnips stick together so take them all apart and make sure all sides are covered in deliciousness!
Place in your baking dish of your choice. I used a cast iron skillet. Bake 350 about 30-40 minutes until potatoes soften and edges brown. You cant even tell there’s turnip in it! Tastes excellent. My kids prefer this to get crispier so I do leave mine in longer to get darker and crisp up like chips. Some would like it this way, however some would not!
