I used to always boil my turnip with carrots when making a roast dinner. I bake my turnips now.425. Cut small, some Vegetable oil, salt & pepper, bake til they get tender and crisp. I can’t believe I have been Boiling them for years.
Cut, oiled, salt & peppered. Bake 350 til doneSmooch down in pan with forkYou can use small marshmallows. I prefer to use the big ones cut in half.Now this is not suppose to look like this LOL. Put the pan under the broiler for just a few seconds til marshmallows rise and toast. If you do like me and wait 2 minutes, youll come back to a smoking kitchen and burnt marshmallows hahaha. Luckily I was able to peel that top burnt piece away and save the bottom! Lol The kids really like these
Does anyone else bake their squash? I prefer it baked. Keeps all the flavour in and bonus less dishes. Cut top off, and gutt seeds out. I normally just put 1/4CUP butter, salt, pepper & couple TBSP brown sugar. Put top back on bake 350 for an hour. This time I added my herbed butter in that had thyme and rosemary in it.Once cooked take a spoon and carefully stir around all squash/butter mixture together. You’ll like it!
Cut pork some soya sauce added to marinate 5 bokchoy 8 pieces of broccoli cut Can baby corn White onion 1 carrot & 1 pepper 3 mushrooms cut Cup red cabbage cut Fresh ginger & garlic
I add some vegetable oil along with some sesame oil. I Brown the pork a tad. Then add the onions, garlic, & ginger. Cook for a bit.
I add the broccoli, cabbage & carrots next. Cook little, high heat. Then add remainder of veggies.
I finish it off with some chicken stock and a cornstarch/water mixture to thicken it. Serve with rice or noodles. We eat a lot of Stir-Fry in the house. I love going threw the fridge to see what we have. They are always slightly different.
I cook them a tad first with salt/pepper with big chunks of ginger and soya sauce. I then add the onions and garlic. Cook for a bit longer.
Then they go in oven at 450. Turning them frequently. I add peppers just before done. Maybe last 10 minutes in oven. Cook rib dish til nicely browned. Dig in, these are awesome!
