Bananas
Dessert Pizza
This is a very good dessert pizza and my kids especially enjoy it when I make this. Follow the steps below to make this recipe.
Take the Nan bread and top with Nutella. Add sliced Bananas, coconut & white chocolate chips on top. Of course, the toppings on these are endless so you can put what you want. I shove these in the oven under the broiler for just a minute. This melts the chocolate and toasts the coconut. Now just slice up the dessert pizza, serve and enjoy!
Banana Fritters
We prefer to use the baby bananas cause they are so sweet and well just delicious. And you can’t beat that nice yellow color right?! Large Bananas work fine though.
You really need a silicone mold for this. I just love this Epicure silicone mold, I use it for a variety of things.
These are great with just the banana in them. But we like to do a couple different flavors.
Smooched Bananas I did 15 small put into my 1 1/2TBSP serving silicone mold.
1TSP baking powder
1/4TSP baking soda
1/4TSP salt
3/4CUP water or more
Combine 1CUP of flour, baking powder, soda & salt in a bowl. Gradually blend in water til smooth.
We bought this silicone pan second hand. I love it. We use it for a variety of things. You can find it here
Pina Colada & Red Velvet dehydrated Bananas
Sometimes it’s fun, doing new things like this recipe. Wow, were these enjoyed. My dehydrator has been my funniest kitchen tool yet.
What do we got here?
About 2 banana in each container. Bananas cut in half then those pieces thinly sliced.
Placed 2 whole sliced bananas in each container. One we pour over a Pina Colada Mix and the Other a Red Velvet Syrup. Soak for atleast 3-6hours.
I used Dehydrating sheets as syrups were a tad sticky. When removing bananas from container try and remove as much excess syrup as possible.
Just like everything we Dehydrate they didnt last long!
Beaver Tails (or pigs ears)
5TSP active dry yeast
pinch white sugar
1CUP warm milk (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/3CUP white sugar
1 1/2TSP salt
1TSP vanilla extract
3 beaten eggs
1/3CUP vegetable oil
5 cups whole-wheat flour, divided
1 quart vegetable oil for frying
2CUPS white sugar
1/2TSP ground cinnamon, or to taste
Mix warm water, yeast, pinch of sugar in a large bowl, and let stand until the yeast begins to foam, about 5 minutes. Stir in milk, 1/3 cup sugar, salt, vanilla extract, eggs, and 1/3 cup vegetable oil until the sugar has dissolved. Mix in about half the whole-wheat flour, and stir until the dough is too stiff to add more flour. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, and knead in more flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Form the dough into a ball, place into an oiled bowl, and cover. Let rise until the dough has doubled in size.
Top with your favorite toppings :0)
