Preheat oven to 400F. Cook your beef over medium heat until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet. Add the vegetables and garlic to the beef juices in the pan. Cook until soft, 7-10 min. Add the tomato paste and flour. Stir until the flour is completely moistened. Return the cooked beef to pan. Add the stock, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Simmer until the gravy thickens. Transfer the meat mixture into a cast iron pan. Spoon the mashed potatoes over the meat mixture. Place the dish in the oven at 400F and cook for 20-30 min or until the top is golden. Let stand 5-10 min before serving. We really enjoy it! We are a meat and potato kinda family :0)
We like baked sausages. This dish is so versatile you can literally throw in any Vegetables and it will be good. The vegetables and sausages are always changing so the flavours are always new which makes it an exciting dish. I like to take a big bowl. Throw everything in there. Your sausages, vegetables. I used asparagus, mushrooms, onions, peppers, garic & squash. Cut stuff into bigger pieces/chunks. Add some vegetable oil. Rosemary, oregano, Italian spice, crushed chilis (optional). Mix it all til well incorporated. I then pour it all into my cast iron frying pan. Foil and bake 350 for about 45 minutes to an hour. I do stir half way threw. For the last 15 minutes I cook with foil off.

Pour in homemade pie crust or store bought.
I put some herbs in my dough.
