Mix well. I thicken the sauce now with our cornstarch/water mixture. Then add in your butterflied shrimps. Stir fry just a couple more minutes til shrimps are donePeek a boo, I see you lol Remove your Stirfry from heat. Boil your noodles as per instructions. Just 2-3 minutes. Drain, rinse, and mix them into your Stirfry. Serve immediately

Working with some left over Pork Roast last couple days. With a Pork Barley and now a Pork Ramen. Had surgery this past week, taking it easy with some soups. We love homemade soups! This is a pretty simply Ramen.Soup: 1TBSP sesame oil 1 onion sliced 1TBSP fresh ginger root diced 4 garlic cloves minced 1TBSP garlic chili sauce 1/2CUP soya sauce 1/4CUP rice vinegar 2TBSP oyster sauce 1TBSP fish sauce 2-4 mushrooms your choice 1/2 pound napa cabbage or bok choy or chinese broccoli (really any green you want) cut up 1celery stalk thinly sliced Half carrot thinly sliced 2 green onions sliced (All these Vegetables are options you can put in the veggies you prefer) 2-3CUPS left over pork 2CUPS left over pork gravy (sub chicken stock) 2CUPS chicken stock or bouillon/water 1 cup water
Noodles: 1-2 packages of ramen noodles
4 hard boiled eggs Seawood
Bring the oil, onions, ginger, garlic, carrots, all the sauces, broths, gravy, and vinegar to a boil.
Boil for just a couple minutes then add in the rest of stuff. Reserving some green onions to sprinkle ontop. Hard boiled eggs & seawood are also reserved for the top too. Light boil about 15-20minutes. While that’s cooking you can work on your noodles.
Boil your noodles are per your instructions on pack. They don’t take long. I like to rinse mine under water once cooked it washes away more starch.I put about 3/4CUP noodles in each bowl. Then top with a couple big spoon fulls of soup.
Top with som sea weed, boiled eggs, green onions and sprinkle on sesame seeds.
This was pretty delicious. Boneless turkey breast. I removed the skin and loaded top of breast with bread stuffing then put the skin back on. I used cooking thread and tied the skin tightly around stuffing and turkey breast. I placed it in a Dutch oven on a bunch of root vegs. Potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, dried cranberries, salt, pepper, thyme, sage, rosemary, 1CUP waterBake 350F covered for 1 and a half. Remove everything from pan and make a gravy with the drippings on the bottom.
Working with left overs today! One thing we love is cooking one meal, and turning it into multiple meals. Made a pork roast yesterday, today turning it into a pork and Barley soup and a pork Ramen today. Prepping lunches for the week.2CUPS roast pork chopped 1CUP pork gravy 1/3CUP barley 2CUPS beef stock/bouillon 1 onion diced 2 carrots diced 2 celery diced 2-4cloved garlic minced 1 1/2CUPS green beans frozen or canned or peas 4-5 peeled, diced potatoes 1 TSP parsley, thyme, salt & pepper 1-2 bay leaves We love making homemade soup, they really are easy. Packed with so much goodness and flavour. Throw everything into dutch oven, minus the potatoes.
Cover the rest with water and stir. Bring to a light boil and boil for about 1 and a half hours. Stirring occasionally. Its a bit cold in Alberta today! Wanted to get a chowder going. Love homemade soups on a cold day! 2 carrots, diced 1 large onion, diced 3 celery stalks, diced 4-6 potatoes, diced Can of corn handful fresh parsley Salt/pepper Can of clams with juice 1/2LBS shrimp 6oz salmon cubed Can of fish or seafood stock 2TBSP butter 1TBSP Vegetable oil 2TBSP diced garlic 2TBSP flour 1/3CUP milk or cream
I like to use my Dutch Oven for Soup, Stews and Chowders. Get your pot on a med high heat. Add in your butter, oil, Onions, carrots, celery, garlic, salt & pepper. Stir cook for a few minutes. Then add in your potatoes, stir, cook couple more minutes.
Add in your fish stock, and enough water to cover veggies. Bring to a light boil and boil til vegetables are tender. I take the flour and mix it in the fish and shrimp Bowl. Add in all your seafood and parsley. Light boil for a bit longer. Til everything is all cooked.Add your milk/cream and corn just a few minutes before serving. Stir well. Add more salt pepper if needed!Seafood chowder always changes, as the seafood you use is never the same. Little homemade oyster crackers to go with our chowder today. Yummy.
