2CUPS white beans soaked 1 onion diced 2 carrots diced 2 celery stalks diced 2-5cloves garlic minced (we used 5) 3 CUPS Chicken stock/bouillon 3CUPS water 2TBSP Italian spice 1TBSP parsley Couple bay leaves Salt/pepper 1 Ham hockThrow everything in a Dutch oven and or large pot. Bring up to a boil and light boil for an hour. Adding more water if needed.
Remove the ham hock, I give it a rinse under cold water to cool it down quicker. Separate all the meat from the bone and chop up roughly.
Put all your ham hock back in, stir, remove bay leaves and serve. We don’t eat enough beans in this house, it was enjoyed by everyone. I love making homemade soups!I have the PC Choice brand but this is about the same.
3CUPS bean sprouts 1 carrot julienned 2celery stalks julienned 1 white onion julienned Garlic Ginger Chili’s (always optional!) If you opt out you should use white pepper. Black pepper is fine. Soya sauce SugarCut all your veggies up
I use a little vegetable oil with sesame oil, pan fry up the carrots, onions, celery, garlic, ginger, chilis, soya sauce and TSP sugar. If I’m not using chilis. I use white pepper. Pan fry high heat just couple minutes. Then add bean sprouts. Another TSP of soya sauce. Cook couple more minutes. We love food full of colors! We sprinkled with sesame seeds but it’s not needed.I added a couple shrimps in with this to have for lunch :0).
Celery, celery, celery, what can I say, this vegetable fluctuates so much in price it astounds me. One week it will be 97cents, next week it’s 7$, what the heck? I want my celery but I can’t nor would pay that! So we buy in bulk when it’s super cheap $5 for a 24count case! I dehydrate them cubed, sliced, large for stirfrys and small for soups. Celery is practically all water so they literally turn to nothing once Dehydrated and take up to next to no room.Dehydrate 135F for about 12-14hours. 24 whole celery fits in 2 quart jars, wow! We just love DehydratingLove our dehydrator! It’s half the price to leading brands but works just as good!
Herbed butter 1/2CUP butter loaded with fresh thyme, sage & rosemary.Cut apples I used galas. Cut celery & cut onions. Dry turkey real good. And start massaging that butter in, real good!
I top it with salt & pepper added another onion on the bottom.Bake as per your turkey instructions. This was a huge one it took about 4 hours at 350 FLast hour. I uncover, top with bacon and finish cooking. We are in the process of selling our house and moving we have sold almost everything. So no more turkey roaster or turkey platter lol. We made it work :0)Served with all the fixings! We enjoyed this meal on Christmas day. Do you see him?! Hehehe he likes peek a boo lol
We enjoyed that meal. My family likes turkey. I make turkeys 3times a year. Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving. I sometimes add a ham in there too. What do you cook for your holidays?
3 carrots chopped 1 onion chopped 3 stalks celery chopped 2 cups frozen peas & carrots (normally I’d just put in peas.
