Add in your milk/cream and cheese. Stirring frequently til it’s nicely thickened.
My family loves this dish!
Add your cooked, drained pasta to a big bowl, add in your alfredo sauce, mix, serve immediately. I was out of Fettuccine, spaghetti to the rescue! Tasted just as good.Love our daily Lodge user!
When we make spaghetti sauce, we go big! We make a huge batch and we freeze for a later day! 2-2 1/2 pounds ground beef, I prefer lean 2 large onions, cut 2 green peppers, cut 8 celery stalks, cut 3 jalapenos, cut 1-2 large carrots, diced 6-8 mushrooms 6 garlic cloves Italian seasoning Oregano Basil Salt & pepper 6large cans of crushed/diced or whole tomatoes (we prefer scarpones fire roasted ones, any will do!) 6 cans tomato soup 2 cans tomato sauceI like to add all the cut veggies & spices to a bowl.Mix well.
I use two pots and divide beef up. Brown up the meat for a bit, put half the veggie mixture in each pot. Stir well. Cook for about 6-8minutes.Then divide all your cans of tomato stuff into each pot. In summer time when tomatoes are a dime a dozen. We use way less canned tomato stuff and make from scratch!
Stir, and simmer for a couple of hours. We got supper for four made out of this, 5 spaghetti sauce meals for family of 4 (roughly 5cups in each large freezer bag) for freezer and I also made up 8 lunch containers! My spaghetti is a big hit in our family! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
I like to look in the fridge and see what I have to use and what I could throw into this or that. I like to create new things and new dishes. I’m always combing 2 or 3 recipes to get what I like. Here we have Shrimp Scampi my way. I take the shrimp and mix it with salt, pepper, garlic, Cajun spice, & fresh parsley. I leave that sit for a bit. Heat some olive oil up in the pan and add the shrimps, cook. Boil pasta, & drain (saving (1/2cup water). Add pasta to shrimp pan. I add a little oil and some water from cooked pasta. Right before plating I stir in Arugula. Topped with some fresh Parm and served with a side of Arugula.
This was a little fun, I’m not going to lie. Some will love this, some will not haha. Now when I seen this recipe online, I seen it done with hotdogs. I nearly gagged! I’ve never had hotdogs & spaghetti before. But I guess it’s something, some do. I have had spaghetti with sausages mainly times. Usually use ground beef but I do change it up from time to time. I thought why not try this recipe with cut sausages. Now get the kids involved and carefully smooch noodles through centre of sausage. I did about 4-6 noodles per sausagesBoil pasta as your package states.Drain and mix with your favorite pasta sauce!Serve with side of salad and garlic bread
