Top glaze:
2TBSP each butter or margarine & brown sugar
Cake:
2-3 oranges, peeled & sliced thinly
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2TSP each baking soda & powder
Couple pinches of salt
1/2CUP each cocoa & brown sugar
1/4CUP white sugar
1 egg
1/3CUP butter or margarine softened
1/4CUP orange juice
1/2CUP milk

Peel and slice your oranges thinly. We like to use a blood orange and a regular orange, gives it a nice color.
Mix your dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix your wet ingredients in another bowl. We don’t sift the dry ingredients but if you prefer to do so, go ahead. I throw my cast iron pan in oven with butter and brown sugar glaze. Just for a minute until Butter is melted. Then I mix it all around nicely on bottom of pan with brown sugar coating bottom evenly.
